This document outlines all schools’ responsibilities towards the children in their care:Safeguarding-and-Child-Protection-Policy-2017-2018

At Kennall Vale School we are committed to safeguarding all the children in our care. In order to ensure our children are safe we follow carefully all statutory guidance and have clear policies which all staff adhere to. If you have any child protection or safeguarding concerns about a child you can contact Mr Chirgwin at school. You can also click onto the Safeguarding Children Leaflet for further advice.

Kennall Vale is also involved in the Operation Encompass Project in partnership with Devon and Cornwall Police. This means that if any pupil has been involved in a domestic situation that triggered a call to the police, school will be informed the following morning prior to 8.30am. The purpose is to put in appropriate care and support as soon as possible for that pupil. If we are aware we can help!
