Outdoor Classroom Day

We had an outdoor classroom day today. Each class completed a range of activities and lessons outside. In Piskies and Cormoran they completed bug hunts, were nature detectives for local plants, measured giants’ footprints and had an Olympics. Morgawr spent the morning making and following maps while Bedruthan made campfire oranges to cook and became presenters of an outdoor cooking programme using the Ipads. In the afternoon Piskies and Cormoran went to the playing field to become nature detectives. Morgawr and Bedruthan joined together to have a special Olympic sporting event on the playing field where they competed in discus, javelin and shotput. Despite the weather the children had a great time.
